The Romantics - Atlantic City 2026

The Romantics brought a healthy dose of straight-ahead rock ’n’ roll to Atlantic City in 2026, delivering one of the most energetic sets of the Totally Tubular Festival. While plenty of acts on the bill leaned heavily into synths, new wave, and pop, The Romantics kept things simple: guitars, drums, catchy hooks, and plenty of attitude. The band sounded tight and confident, proving that their power-pop style still works remarkably well decades after their biggest hits. “What I Like About You” was obviously the moment everyone was waiting for, and the crowd responded immediately, turning the venue into a giant sing-along. But the rest of the set showed there was more to the band than one famous chorus. There was a genuine bar-band spirit to the performance that made it feel less like a nostalgia exercise and more like a real rock show. The Romantics may have been celebrating the past, but they played like a band still having a blast in the present.
