Barenaked Ladies - CMAC 2012

Returning to CMAC in 2012, Barenaked Ladies once again transformed the scenic outdoor amphitheater into an evening of laughter, singalongs, and first-class musicianship. The Canadian quartet continued to evolve while maintaining the charm, wit, and musical versatility that had made them one of the most reliable and entertaining live bands on the touring circuit.

Ed Robertson was an engaging frontman throughout the night, balancing heartfelt vocals with the quick improvisation and humorous audience interaction that have become staples of every Barenaked Ladies concert. Kevin Hearn, Jim Creeggan, and Tyler Stewart rounded out the lineup with outstanding musicianship, effortlessly shifting between pop, rock, folk, and acoustic textures. The band delivered a career-spanning set filled with beloved hits, fan favorites, and a few surprises, showcasing both their songwriting depth and remarkable chemistry on stage.

The CMAC audience responded enthusiastically from the opening song, singing every familiar chorus, laughing along with the band's spontaneous jokes, and rewarding each performance with sustained applause. The relaxed summer atmosphere and beautiful Finger Lakes setting only enhanced the experience, creating a concert that felt as comfortable and welcoming as a gathering of old friends.

As the final encore echoed through the amphitheater, Barenaked Ladies had once again demonstrated why they continue to be one of Canada's finest live acts. Their 2012 CMAC performance blended exceptional musicianship, timeless songs, and infectious humor into a memorable evening that perfectly captured the band's enduring appeal.
