Adam Ant — Webster Hall 2017 NEW

Adam Ant turned Webster Hall into a celebration of his groundbreaking Kings of the Wild Frontier album in 2017, performing the record in its entirety before launching into a second set of fan favorites. Dressed in his signature theatrical style, Ant commanded the stage with the swagger and restless energy that made him a defining figure of British new wave.

Flanked by two drummers, he opened with “Dog Eat Dog” and “Antmusic,” bringing the Burundi-inspired rhythms of the classic album to life. “Kings of the Wild Frontier,” “Ants Invasion” and “The Magnificent Five” showcased the band's distinctive blend of tribal percussion, punk attitude and catchy pop melodies. The performance then shifted into a greatest-hits celebration featuring “Stand and Deliver,” “Goody Two Shoes,” “Prince Charming” and “Desperate But Not Serious.”

Ant also reached into the catalog for “Vive Le Rock” and “Cartrouble,” keeping longtime fans engaged throughout the nearly two-hour show. Closing with “Get It On” and “Physical (You're So),” he delivered a spirited reminder of his enduring theatrical appeal.
