Sabrina Carpenter arrived at Madison Square Garden in 2024 at a pivotal moment in her career. With “Espresso” and “Please Please Please” turning her into one of pop’s biggest breakout stars, the Short n’ Sweet Tour showcased an artist ready to step into the arena-headliner spotlight.

Carpenter’s performance combined cheeky humor, polished choreography, colorful staging, and a setlist packed with infectious pop hooks. Songs from Short n’ Sweet formed the backbone of the show, including “Taste,” “Good Graces,” “Bed Chem,” “Juno,” and “Please Please Please.” She also reached back to her earlier catalog with “Feather,” “Fast Times,” “Read Your Mind,” and “Nonsense,” demonstrating how much her sound and audience had grown.

The production gave the concert a playful, theatrical feel without losing sight of the music. Carpenter’s personality was central to the experience, balancing flirtatious jokes and knowing humor with confident vocals and tightly executed performances. “Espresso” provided a natural highlight, bringing one of the year’s defining pop hits into one of New York’s most famous venues.

The Madison Square Garden appearance marked another major milestone for Carpenter, whose rise from supporting-act status to arena headliner had become one of pop music’s most compelling success stories of 2024.
