Pinhead Gunpowder — Toronto 2026 NEW
Toronto made history when Pinhead Gunpowder played its first-ever Canadian show at the Danforth Music Hall in 2026. Featuring Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong alongside guitarist Jason White, bassist Bill Schneider and drummer Aaron Cometbus, the punk rock quartet delivered a fast-moving set that celebrated its underground roots and melodic, no-frills approach.
The 28-song performance opened with “Asheville” before charging through “Life During Wartime,” “Reach for the Bottle,” “Beastly Bit” and “Unt.” The band also delivered a memorable cover of Joni Mitchell's “Big Yellow Taxi,” adding an unexpected twist to the punk-heavy proceedings. “Here Goes the Neighborhood,” “Scum of the Earth” and “Green” kept the momentum rolling, while “Find My Place,” “Before the Accident” and “At Your Funeral” highlighted the band's extensive catalog.
“Trash TV,” “Backyard Flames,” “Losers of the Year” and “MPLS Song” continued the onslaught. Closing with “¡Hola Canada!” after playing it earlier, Pinhead Gunpowder gave Toronto fans a rare, energetic introduction to a beloved punk underground institution.
